Modern Markets: Roger Arnold Joins the Family Business

1976 saw Roger Arnold transition from high school to a full-time role at Arnold's, though his familiarity with the business ran much deeper. Having already served his "apprenticeship" working in various capacities throughout the operation, Roger brought with him a comprehensive understanding of the business's inner workings.

His timing coincided with significant changes in the local retail landscape. When Woolworths opened their new Wodonga store, Roger was tasked with managing this important account. His success in this role led to him taking on similar responsibilities when the Lavington supermarket opened in 1978. These assignments demonstrated Arnold's ability to adapt to the changing retail environment, successfully bridging the gap between traditional produce supply and modern supermarket operations.

Roger's entry into the business represented both continuity and adaptation - maintaining the Arnold family's commitment to quality service while embracing the evolving needs of modern retail customers.
