Baked Pear Crumble


  • 6 small pears, halved, cored, or 4 large pears, quartered, cored
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup plain flour
  • 1/4 cup caster sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 80g chilled butter, chopped


Preheat oven to 200°C. Line a baking tray with non-stick baking paper. Place the pear, cut-side up, on the lined tray.

Place the oats, flour, sugar and cinnamon in a large bowl. Use your fingertips to rub the butter into the oat mixture until the mixture resembles coarse breadcrumbs.

Sprinkle the mixture over the pear. Bake for 40 minutes or until crumble is golden and the pear is tender.
